In the the third and last stage of the Tour of Islamabad, the Discovery Channel Marco Polo riders did not manage to win GC.

On a windy circuit over rolling hills in the central park of Pakistan it became a hard last stage. The Iranian riders started the race with a superhard tempo which took a lot of victims who fell off in the sidewind.
When the tempo went down, the GC riders attacked eachother continuingly. Yu Tong tried a few good attacks to improve his 4th position in GC, the same for Robin and Canadian Matt Usborne. The Iranians defended well and placed a few counterattacks themselves. Only 12 riders were still together in the finale.
Then Nils Voetmann, a Marco Polo Club rider from Germany, part of the local Dutch development program, took the right moment and got away. Justin Kerr (2nd in Tour of Pakistan) bridged over and won the sprint. Kerr first, Voetmann second in the stage.
Ahad Kazemi wins GC, ahead of Reid, Usborne, Yutong.

In the women's GC it was Britta Martin (a top-triathlete) who kept her 1st place.
Danielle Bekkering had a great day. She attacked early with a Canadian rider and outsprinted her at the finish, b
ringing a great victory to the Pakistan SSGC team were she rides for in this event.
