After a poor performance in Tour de Langkawi, where he got called late to replace Oggi, Chinese DCMP rider Yutong has shown that he intends to take his cycling carreer seriously!
In the first stage of Tour of Islamabad, he only had to let two Iranian riders go and finished 4th, in a small group behind the two leaders.
The race, with a mixed field of male and female riders, totally splintered behind the leading Iranians. Stage 2 has 2500 meters altitude difference in 110 km's, a specialists' race course, suiting the Iranian climbers perfectly.
Discovery Channel Marco Polo's Robin Reid, one of the pre-race favourites, couldn't make it and finished 7th in a small 3rd group. The team will be racing for a podium GC from Yutong from now.
