Sad start to Langkawi PDF Print E-mail

The Tour de Langkawi has started with sadness for the team today, as we had to decide that Sergey could not start. He is still ill, had a fever and his health is way more important then the Tour de Langkawi...
This happened just after Oggi had to leave Malaysia, as his father died.

We will see Sergey and Oggi back this year, however!!

The team is a bit without direction now, as the focus in flat stages would be on Sergey's sprint. The collective spirit of the riders remains: we will attack and grab our opportunities!

This was shown perfectly by Xing Yan Dong in today's stage. After missing a two men break, he jumped clear alone, when the field let the pace drop. He made it to the bonification sprint and caught 1 second! This brings him to 7th in GC.

The Dutch guys and Loh had an easy ride, Yutong was struggling after his late arrival. Hopefully he'll be in the rythm within a few days...

We'll keep going for our chances in the next few days! The fighting spirit is not broken!
