The Trek – Marco Polo Cycling Team will race the Giro del Capo, March 4 to 8, in South Africa with an amazing strong line-up.

Fuyu Li from China, who is in preparation for the Beijing Olympic road race and already won a stage and rode a few days in yellow in the Jelajah Tour of Malaysia this year will be joined by the following experienced riders.
Also Bart Brentjens, former Olympic and World Champion mountainbike, is preparing for the Olympic Games in Beijing, he also is a superstrong road cyclist.
Leon van Bon, who raced last year in the Protour and in the past won a few stages in Tour de France and Vuelta Espana, a World Cup at the road, the Dutch Championships and became 3rd at World Championships road.
Jai Crawford, one of the best climbers in the Asia Tour and strong GC rider.
Sergey Kudentsov, several times Russian Champion at the track and one of the fastest sprinters in the Asia Tour.


The Giro del Capo has challenging circuits which will make it a hard stage race. The day after, the team will also compete in the Cape Argus Pick n Pay, the biggest cycling event in the world with about 40.000 participants.


The Trek – Marco Polo Cycling Team will be supported by team manager Frans van Slagmaat, soigneur Frank Villevoye and mechanic: Dewald Nienaber.
