Xing Yan Dong 3rd in Tour de Langkawi ! PDF Print E-mail

Chinese Xing Yan Dong from the Trek - Marco Polo Cycling Team became 3rd in today's stage in the Tour de Langkawi. He was present in a 5 men break-away in the longest stage of 209 km of the Tour. The Tour de Langkawi is one of the most important stage races in the spring season with many of the world's best cycling teams at the start. Today's stage started the first hour with an average speed of over 50 kmph and 44,5 kmph over the total distance of 209 km.
The 5 men break stayed away for 130 km and Korean Jae Won Lee could get away to take the stage victory. Sprinter Anuar Manan took second and Xing Yan Dong third.
It is a great result for Chinese Xing Yan Dong and the prove of his talent and good work that he did the past three years on the Marco Polo Cycling Team. He started cycling after he had injuries from athletics and the now 23 year old Xing Yan Dong has the strong ambition to make it in cycling sports and to race one day in the Tour de France.
